Andrews, Nikki - Nikki has worked as a picture framer, stable hand and crafter, but in her real life she is a writer, songmaker and hiker. She is the author of the newly released mystery novel “Framed”, set in an art gallery, as well as two science fiction novels (“Chicken Bones” and “A Windswept Star”). Several of her short stories have been published and two have been awarded Honorable Mention in Writers Digest Writing Contests. For nine years straight she has completed the National Novel Writing Month challenge--a 50,000 word novel during the month of November. Bowman, Elena Dorothy - formerly an aerospace software engineer, is an Honors graduate of Fitchburg College earning her BS Degree in Engineering and Management. She serves as an officer in the Massachusetts Chapter of the National League of American PenWomen. Her published novel “Sarah’s Landing-I”, which has won the coveted APA award for its audio book, is the first in a series of four completed science-fiction/ mystery/ romance novels. Her second published novel, is a Romantic Suspense/ Mystery/ Thriller, “The House On The Bluff”. Her prize winning short story “Canollies For Christmas” was published in The Lowell Sun. Cavallaro, Lenny - Lenny is the co-author of two nonfiction volumes and also the author of a novel and a novella, with another publication scheduled for 2009. He served as an arts critic for The New Haven Register from 1976-85 and as by-line political commentator for the Ipswich Observer from 1997-99. He was also the associate editor of The International Journal of Professional Hypnosis from 1986-95, and worked as a literary agent during the 1980’s. At present, he teaches English at Northern Essex Community College. Also a concert pianist and composer, Cavallaro holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and was a top prize-winner in the 1975 J. S. Collins Malarsky, Jeanine - After 37 years in the world of business, accounting and computers, Jeanine sold her company and retired. With no other pressures, she sat in front of her computer and the story of her childhood poured out. “Black Raspberries” reveals a traumatic first 17 years. But, out of that chaotic and peripatetic life she developed a passion for literature, music and travel. Comtois, Pierre - Pierre is a newspaper reporter writing from Lowell, MA who has been editing and publishing Fungi Magazine intermittently since 1984. Ipsen, Anne - Anne was born in Denmark and her memoirs draw on her childhood there and her youth as a teenage immigrant to the US. Her parents and she lived in Copenhagen during the German occupation of the Second World War. Afterwards, they traveled in the USA, finally settling in Boston, where she was graduated from Radcliffe College and eventually received a doctorate from Harvard University. Before deciding to become a full-time writer, she was a professor at the University of Minnesota for many years. Larmay, Judith – Judith was born in a small mill city in the Northeast. She has been creating images most of her life. In the late 1950's she studied painting for three years at Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, and recently, after five more years in academia, has gleaned a Bachelor's degree in Visual Art and Creative Writing from Bradford College, Haverhill, MA. Painting and writing have been Judith's blessed preoccupations. After a twenty-year pause to marry and raise two daughters, in 1978 her painting spark was rekindled. Larmay has since been producing fine artwork non-stop. After graduation from Bradford College in 1997, she began to write for publication. She lives happily with her husband of forty years, paints, teaches, and sells from her home studio. Eight years, three children and one divorce later - I returned to Massart to get a teacher’s certification. The city of Haverhill hired me within a week of my course completion and I spent the next thirty years teaching art at Haverhill High School. During twenty of those teaching years I also worked as a freelance illustrator. The arrival of my first grandchild set the wheels in motion for this last stage of my career. Wainwright, Paul – Paul is a photographer based in Atkinson, New Hampshire, who works in a traditional manner utilizing sheet film, a large-format camera, and silver gelatin printing. His work has appeared in numerous juried competitions and solo exhibitions, and is included in the permanent collections of both private and corporate collectors, including Fidelity Investments and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. He is a mostly self-taught photographer who brings to his images an eye for space and light, subtle details, and an appreciation of history. Working with traditional photographic media such as 4x5 sheet film and silver gelatin paper processed in a wet darkroom, he achieves in his prints a sense of quiet contemplation that comes from the slow, Zen-like pace of creating his images.
